Leadership
The Company's management team is comprised of highly experienced executives combining over
60 years of health care industry experience and possesses a comprehensive understanding of the
Company's marketplace. Furthermore, management is supported by an equally experienced Board,
whose professional experiences include senior management positions with public and private healthcare
entities and management of venture capital investments.
Charles N. Martin, Jr., Chairman of the Board
Mr. Martin currently serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Vanguard Health Systems,
Inc. ("Vanguard") and is the former Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of OrNda
HealthCorp ("OrNda"). Under his leadership, OrNda grew from revenues of approximately $450 million to $3 billion in four years to become the nation's third largest investor-owned hospital management
company. His career includes serving as Director, President and Chief Operating Officer of Healthtrust,
Inc., as well as Director and Executive Vice President of HCA Inc. ("HCA").
Timothy M. Petrikin, Chief Executive Officer and Director
Prior to founding e+healthcare in 2002, Mr. Petrikin was the Vice President of Development for
Ambulatory Resource Centres ("ARC"), a venture capital backed, ambulatory surgery center company.
Mr. Petrikin was involved from ARC's start-up in 1997 through its growth to 38 centers and
approximately $150 million in revenue. ARC merged with Symbion, Inc. ("Symbion," NasdaqNM:
SMBI), a multi-specialty outpatient surgery center company, in July of 1999. Prior to that experience,
Mr. Petrikin developed ambulatory surgery and diagnostic imaging joint ventures for OrNda, a publicly
traded hospital management company acquired by Tenet Healthcare in January of 1997. Mr. Petrikin
and Mr. Eyler were colleagues at OrNda where they worked extensively on the establishment of
physician joint ventures. Mr. Petrikin is a graduate of Oklahoma State University.
Jerry M. Eyler, Chief Financial Officer and Director
Mr. Eyler has over twenty-five years of health care services experience in the areas of finance and
operations. As Chief Financial Officer of ARC, he participated in multiple rounds of venture capital
funding as well as establishing accounting policies and procedures and financial reporting protocols for
the company. In addition, Mr. Eyler managed the due diligence, project financing and new center
integration for ARC's partnerships. Following ARC's merger with UniPhy Healthcare in 1999 to form
Symbion, Mr. Eyler worked with Mr. Petrikin in establishing physician joint ventures as well as the
development and implementation of a disciplined transaction process. Mr. Eyler is a graduate of Kansas
State University with a M.B.A. and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Robert B. Rhymer, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Rhymer is primarily responsible for the management of the Company's imaging centers operations.
His background in the health care industry includes more than twenty-two years of experience in both
clinical and management roles. Most recently, Mr. Rhymer was Regional Vice President of Symbion.
Mr. Rhymer managed the southeastern regional market and was instrumental in the incremental growth
of multiple surgery centers with responsibilities for maintaining quality of service, while applying cost
effective methods to operations. Prior to his employment with Symbion, he held various positions at
both Tenet Healthcare and HCA supervising departmental clinical operations and assessing and
evaluating improvements in patient care. Mr. Rhymer graduated with an A.D. from Gardner Webb
University, a B.S.N. from Lenior-Rhyne College and a M.S.N. from Duke University.
Amy Radcliff, Chief Development Officer
Ms. Radcliff brings over thirteen years of comprehensive sales and sales management experience to the
Company. Most recently, Ms. Radcliff was District Sales Manager for Cable and Wireless, PLC, a global
internet provider. Ms. Radcliff supervised account executives who marketed complex network
solutions. Additionally, she spent eleven years developing national accounts for CUE Paging and, after
its acquisition, managing the division for Satellink Communications. In those positions, Ms. Radcliff
was responsible for securing, managing and maintaining more than $11 million in annual revenues from
Fortune 500 Companies. Ms. Radcliff is a graduate of the University of Missouri.
Kris Burke, Senior Vice President
Ms. Burke brings over fourteen years of human resource management experience with Fortune 100 and
500 companies to e+healthcare. Her primary responsibility is the selection and development of all
associate personnel. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Burke provided consulting services to several
health care organizations in the capacity of business strategic development in several areas such as service
excellence, personnel selection, training and development and succession planning. Ms. Burke is a
graduate of the University of Nebraska.
Harold H. Pilgrim, III, Director
Mr. Pilgrim is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Baptist Health Systems ("Baptist"), a five-hospital system based in San Antonio, TX. Baptist is an affiliate of Vanguard, a hospital management
company for which Mr. Pilgrim served as Vice President of Investor Relations prior to joining Baptist as
Vice President of Development, following its affiliation with Vanguard in December of 2002. Prior to
joining Vanguard, Mr. Pilgrim was Chief Development Officer of Velocity Health Capital, a boutique
investment bank providing private equity and mergers and acquisition advisory services to the health care
industry. A graduate of Vanderbilt University (B.A. and M.B.A.), Mr. Pilgrim's previous roles in
health care information also include Ernst & Young's Health Care Consulting Group, OrNda and a
health care information technology start-up company.
Jack Tyrrell, Director
Mr. Tyrrell has been a founding partner of five venture capital funds since 1985. Prior to entering the
venture capital business, he started and managed a specialty health care investment banking group for
Prudential Securities. Before joining Prudential Securities, Mr. Tyrrell was employed by HCA as Vice
President of Finance, where his responsibilities included all capital market activities of the company.
Mr. Tyrrell received a B.S. degree from the University of Tennessee and a M.B.A from Harvard Business
School.
