History

Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, e+healthcare is a leading developer and operator of outpatient cancer services, including PET/CT imaging centers, radiation therapy centers and comprehensive cancer care centers. Founded in 2002 by Charlie Martin (Chairman), Tim Petrikin (CEO) and Jerry Eyler (CFO). Management and members of the Board have over 60 years and 100 years, respectively, of collective health care experience. This experience includes successful track records of generating shareholder value in the health care industry through identifying attractive service offerings and market opportunities, forging strong relationships with physicians and hospital systems and implementing both de novo and acquisition driven growth initiatives. e+healthcare commenced operations in partnership with St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System and local physicians with the opening of its first PET/CT imaging center in Houston, Texas in May 2003. Building on those relationships, e+healthcare experienced rapid growth through additional de novo center development in Houston and entered additional new markets including Dallas and El Paso, Texas; Denver and Fort Collins, Colorado; and Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma. e+healthcare recently opened a PET/CT imaging center in Chicago, Illinois and open in San Antonio, Texas next Spring.

In collaboration with hospitals and physicians, e+healthcare operates fifteen fixed-site PET/CT imaging centers and has two additional PET/CT imaging centers under construction. Currently, e+healthcare is developing a radiation therapy center adjacent to an existing PET/CT imaging center as well as a comprehensive cancer care center to meet the growing demand for integrated cancer imaging and cancer treatment technologies. When complete, e+healthcare will operate seventeen PET/CT imaging centers, a radiation therapy center, an interventional radiology procedure clinic and a comprehensive cancer care center integrating PET/CT imaging, radiation therapy and interventional radiology procedures.

e+healthcare has executed a strategy to build leading market positions through de novo development of facilities in large metropolitan markets and through strong relationships with local hospitals, health systems and physicians. The majority of e+healthcare’s current or developing PET/CT imaging and radiation therapy centers have been established as three-way partnerships with hospitals or health systems seeking to enhance their outpatient cancer services and local physicians specializing in the treatment of cancer including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, general surgeons, pulmonologists and radiologists. The remaining minority of e+healthcare’s current or developing PET/CT imaging and radiation therapy centers have been established as two-way partnerships between e+ healthcare and local physicians or as a collaborative service to large physician groups.

e+healthcare’s outpatient cancer services development strategy targets the need of its existing customers in its existing markets to efficiently access state-of-the-art cancer imaging and treatment technologies while seeking hospitals and physician groups in new markets that want to enhance access and delivery of their outpatient cancer services. PET/CT imaging has become integral to the detection and evaluation of cancer and the management of cancer patients. e+healthcare’s diversification into radiation therapy and outpatient interventional radiology procedures is a natural extension to its successful development and operation of PET/CT imaging centers and the cancer industry’s trend toward more advanced, integrated imaging and treatment technologies.
